I now own everything John Cougar Mellencamp has put out on vinyl. This is his first album “The Chestnut Street Incident.” It only sold around 12,000 copies. I have been looking for it forever. I couldn’t be more excited.
Jealous. Right. Now.
I’ve always liked Mellencamp’s more recent pictures. He’s always had this expression that just says “LIKE I GIVE A FUCK.”
But perhaps, that is just me.
Saw this today and, um, what the fuck is going on with John Mellencamp’s hair? Did someone give him a swirly? I want to put a tiny little surfer figure in his hair. It would hurt my eyes less.
So The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County is supposed to come out Spring of 2012. If it’s not waiting on a Jeff Lynne solo album with anticipation, it’s waiting on this CD compilation.
Funny how my two favorite musicians are just so diverse from each other. Mr. “I ain’t no pop singer” Mellencamp, and Jeff, who embraces his pop undertones lovingly.
